James' experience in the aviation industry is extensive; he has held a variety of roles in the aviation industry for over 20 years. Before starting True Course Solutions he was the Vice President of Aviation and Corporate Safety for Harbour Air Seaplanes. In 2011, Mr. Molloy was asked to join the board of the Aviation Leadership Foundation. In 2010 he assisted and was instrumental in setting up the Floatplane Operators Association (FOA). Prior to that, Mr. Molloy was asked to represent all commercial floatplane interest in the Vancouver region as a subject matter expert, during the planning for the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Molloy was elected to the Nav Canada Advisory Council in April 2010 and represents all aviation activities for the Province of British Columbia. He is also a guest lecturer at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and has been a director of the British Columbia Aviation Council since April, 2009.

While working at Harbour Air Molloy created policies and procedures to minimize risk and increase safety awareness by adopting the principals of an effective Safety Management Systems approach to threat error management. This proved effective and Harbour Air received lower insurance premiums, greater employee safety engagement and reduced incident severity over his tenure. Mr. Molloy’s other endeavors have also gained success.  His participation in the annual Aviation Leadership Forum and Floatplane Operators Association has helped to promote and address safety issues in the industry. Both organizations were mentioned in the April 2012 Aviation Safety Letter by Trevor J. Heryet, Regional Director, Civil Aviation Pacific Region, as one of the leading leadership initiatives take by the industry in the Pacific Region.

In 2010 Mr. Molloy represented all commercial floatplane operators that would be affected by the increased security regulations from the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games.  He advised and worked closely with the Integrated Security Unit (ISU) to ease the impact on these operations and liaised with top Canadian and US security agencies during the Vancouver Olympic Games.  These included RCMP, DND, NORAD, FAA, CATSA, Homeland Security, Coast Guard, Nav Canada, and Transport Canada.  Mr. Molloy assisted in creating a program that allowed commercial floatplane operators to meet the security requirements imposed by the ISU, while still maintaining flight operations.
